Library is the heart of any Institution and the books and visitors in the Library makes the Institute rich. Our library is situated on the Third floor with the area of 1153 Sq.Feet. It has a scenic view at the back with Parsik hills at the background and central railway running across. Complete cover of mangroves can be seen around the creek, which flows along.

We have a very special collection in Science with many rare and important titles. Our library subscribes 41 Scientific Journals and 25 magazines. Our total collection of books is 33399. On an average we issue about 75 to 80 books per day. Complete catalogue of the library holdings has been created by using Libsuite asp version. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) is provided to the users. Students are using the OPAC extensively for searching the required books and journals. Library database is accessible from anywhere in the world through web OPAC available on www.vpmthane.org .

We are proud to provide online access facility to the students and faculty members to the internationally reputed commercial databases like JSTOR, ProQuest, CMIE, Manupatra, UGC N-LIST, Dictionary of Scientific Biographies, and open access databases viz Vidyanidhi, OpenJ-Gate, OpenDOAR, DOAJ, PubMed, SSRN, PloS, COCHRANE.

The library is connected with the other four libraries on the campus and an integrated OPAC of the holding is made available to all users. Books on inter library loan are provided to the students and teachers on demand.

Library Timing: 9.00 am to 6.00 pm (Monday to Saturday)

Issue-return Timing : 10.00 am to 12.45pm

                                          2.00 pm to 4.00 pm

Note: – Library open on all Sundays prior to 1 month of Semester and year end examination.

The Book Bank Scheme prioritizes students who demonstrate financial need while maintaining academic standards. Eligible students include those from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds,  Merit-based considerations ensure that academically committed students receive priority access to resources.

– Mumbai University Book Bank Facility

This facility is only for the socially disadvantaged backgrounds students. To avail this facility, students have to submit the following documents

  1.  True Copy of Caste Certificate
  2.  Last Year Marklist
  3. Book Bank Application Form

– College Book Bank Facility

This facility is only for the students from economically disadvantaged groups. To avail this facility, students have to submit the following documents
