The Department of Information Technology was established in the academic year 2001–2002 with the objective of providing quality education and practical knowledge in the field of information technology. The department offers undergraduate (B.Sc.) and postgraduate (M.Sc.) programs and is supported by well-equipped infrastructure to enhance teaching and learning.

 The department is headed by Prof. A. A. Kale and is supported by a team of assistant professors and dedicated technical staff, including experienced lab attendants. To promote academic growth and industry awareness, the department has actively organized workshops, seminars, and conferences on emerging technologies such as Linux, Intelligent Systems, Cloud Technology and Future Technologies. Through its strong academic foundation, modern facilities and co-curricular activities, the department strives to develop skilled and competent IT professionals.
