The Examination Committee of B N Bandodkar College of Science, Autonomous, Thane is responsible for planning, coordinating, and completing all exam-related activities as a vital academic institution. The Committee is committed to carrying out examinations in a manner that respects the highest standards of integrity, confidentiality, and fairness. The Committee ensures that evaluation practices promote student development and academic success in accordance with Mumbai University’s regulations, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and the UGC

  • To ensure fair, transparent, and timely conduct of internal, external, and practical examinations.
  • To frame and carry out policies related to examinations and assessments.
  • To uphold the integrity of the examination procedure by using strict confidentiality protocols.
    To resolve examination-related grievances promptly and fairly.

Pre-Examination Phase:

  • Preparation of academic and examination calendars.
  • Holding staff training and orientation sessions.
  • Provision of materials like answer books, attendance sheets and stationery
  • Notification for exam form filling.
  • Collection and verification of exam forms and fees.
  • Generation of admit cards/hall tickets (ATKT)
  • Coordination with the department for question paper procurement
  • Printing, packaging and secure storage of questions papers.
  • Publication of exam timetable.
  • Communications of rules and instructions to candidates.
  • Assignment of invigilators, senior supervisors, chief conductors and support staff.

 

During Examination Phase:

  • Execution of internal and external examinations as per the schedule.
  • Opening and Distribution of Question Papers.
  • Handling contingencies and ensuring examination security.
  • Monitoring the conduct of examinations to prevent malpractices.
  • Resolving cases involving unfair means.
  • Documentation and collection of answer scripts.

 

Post-Examination Phase:

  • Setting up consolidated evaluation procedures
  • Processing of results and their timely declaration.
  • Assisting with grievance procedures, answer script photocopying, and reevaluation.
  • Issuance of mark sheets, certificates, and transcripts.

Students are required to obey these rules:

  • During exams, it is required to have a valid college ID and hall tickets(ATKT).
  • Strict prohibition on the use of unfair means or possession of unauthorized materials.
  • Compliance with seating arrangements and examination instructions.
  • Reporting to the examination hall 15 minutes before commencement.
  • Grievances pertaining to evaluation or results must be submitted within the allotted time frames.
