About the Department

The Department of Environmental Science (estd. 2012) and Biodiversity, Wildlife Conservation & Management (estd. 2015) is committed to promote a deep understanding of the natural environment and encourage sustainable coexistence with nature through education, research, and field-based learning.

This unique and interdisciplinary departments integrate the study of environmental systems with biodiversity assessment, wildlife conservation, and habitat management. We aim to develop professionals who are scientifically informed, practically skilled, and deeply committed to environmental responsibility and ecological stewardship.

Programmes Offered

The departments offer the following programs:

  • M.Sc. in Environmental Science (2 Year Full-time course by paper)
  • Ph.D. in Environmental Science
  • M.Sc. in Biodiversity, Wildlife Conservation & Management (2 Year Full-time course by paper)

  • Comprehensive Curriculum: The curriculum is designed as per NEP 2020 framework covering core areas such as environmental ecology, biodiversity studies, wildlife conservation techniques, environmental management, sustainable development, and natural resource management.
