The Department of Biotechnology and Microbiology is committed to delivering high-quality undergraduate education that integrates core scientific principles with real-world applications.
The Biotechnology Department, established in 2006, and the Microbiology Department, established in 2007, have together fostered a dynamic academic environment where theory meets practice. Since their inception, both departments have been dedicated to nurturing young minds through rigorous academics, hands-on laboratory training, and the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Our B.Sc. programs are designed to provide a strong foundation in life sciences, with a focus on interdisciplinary learning, skill enhancement, and research orientation. The curriculum is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP), promoting flexibility, experiential learning, and holistic development.
In addition to regular coursework, students receive guidance for competitive exams, participate in certificate courses, and explore diverse career pathways in higher education, industry, and entrepreneurship.
Backed by a team of experienced faculty, dedicated non-teaching staff, and a student-centric approach, the department offers a vibrant and supportive learning atmosphere. We take pride in cultivating scientific curiosity, ethical values, and social awareness — preparing students to become informed, responsible, and innovative contributors to the scientific community.
