1.Continuous Assessment:

• All theory courses will be evaluated by the concerned faculty of the Research Centre.
• Internal assessment carries 40% weightage.
• External assessment carries 60% weightage.
• Internal assessment may include:
• Assignments
• Class tests
• Case studies
• Seminars

2. External Assessment (Seminar-Based):

• Scholars will be assigned a topic for seminar.
• Evaluation will be based on:
• 30% – Collection of reference material and understanding of the topic.
• 50% – Seminar presentation and ability to answer questions.
• 20% – Punctuality, enthusiasm, and quality of the written report.
• Evaluation will be done by the concerned teacher(s).

3. Paper II (Course 2 – Maximum 6 Credits):

• To be completed during PhD work from the following activities:
• Poster/Paper Presentation at national/international conference – 2 credits per paper (Max 4
  credits).
• Attending Workshops (7 days total) – 2 credits (Max 2 credits).
• Laboratory Training or Field Work (minimum one week) – 2 credits (Max 2 credits).
• Two Seminars on topics other than research area – 2 credits (Max 2 credits).
• Member of Organizing Committee for seminar/conference – 2 credits (Max 2 credits).

4. Paper III (Course 3):

• Based on the scholar’s core subject.

5. Evaluation Records:

• All evaluation records will be maintained until the scholar completes the Ph.D. degree.

6. Grading System:

• Final grade will be assigned using the UGC 7-point scale.
• Scholars must achieve a minimum ‘C’ grade to pass.

7. Completion Certificate:

• After the coursework is completed, the PhD guide will submit a certificate of completion to the
  university in the prescribed format./li>
