RAC is responsible for guiding and overseeing the college’s research policies and direction. It works to
spread awareness about the importance of quality research among faculty, students, and other stakeholders.
1. RAC helps integrate research into the college’s academic programs wherever possible and encourages
research to be a key part of institutional development.
2. The committee encourages young faculty members to apply for research fellowships and grants, both
from Indian and international funding agencies. It also provides them with complete support in terms of
application procedures and documentation.
3. RAC ensures that the college's research centres are well-supported and follow the rules and requirements
of the affiliated university and funding agencies.
4. RAC meetings are held regularly. Minutes of each meeting are properly recorded and uploaded for
transparency.
5. Each Ph.D. scholar must submit a progress report every six months, through their research guide. They
must also present their work before the RAC twice a year, as per university guidelines (Ref: Exam.
/Thesis/Univ./VCD/947 of 2018).
6. Each scholar must prepare a PowerPoint presentation for the RAC meeting, including all updates and
any revisions or suggestions made during the previous meeting.
7. The presentation should not exceed 25 minutes, followed by a 5-minute question-and-answer session.
Scholars are expected to plan their content accordingly.
8. All publications during the PhD program must be submitted in both soft and hard copies during each
RAC meeting. The hard copy should be signed by both the scholar and their research guide.
