To Explore emerging technology and wonders of science,’ SCIENCE CLUB’of B N Bandodkar  college such as physics carnival ,chemistry club, mathematics club ,botany ,zoology club is actively organises various competitions Exhibitions throughout year such as   science fair, quizzes, Research workshops and seminar.Students are encouraged to participate and acquire knowledge and skill.

  • Activities

The Cultural Department of B N Bandodkar College of Science junior college Thane has actively engaged students and faculty members in a variety of cultural activities throughout the academic year. These activities aim to promote creativity, teamwork, leadership, and appreciation for arts and traditions among students and staff.

  • To encourage student participation in extracurricular and cultural activities.
  • To develop talents in music, dance, drama, art, and literature.
  • To build confidence, communication skills, and a sense of community.
  • To involve teachers as mentors and contributors in cultural programs.

A. Intra-Collegiate Activities

  • Activities: Talent show, games, and musical performances.
  • Annual Cultural Fest – “Aakansha 2025”
    • Events: Solo and group dance, singing, drama, rangoli, mehendi, and fashion show.
    • Participation: Over 500 students and 30 staff members
  • Traditional Day and Ethnic Wear Competition
    • Celebration of Indian heritage.
    • Teachers and students dressed in traditional attire and performed cultural acts.
  • Inter-House Competitions
    • Literary: Elocution, Debate, Essay Writing (Marathi, Hindi, English)
    • Fine Arts: Painting, Sketching, Poster Making

B. Inter-Collegiate Participation

  • Youth Festival (University Level)
    • Students represented the college in dance, music, and theater events.
    • 2 students qualified and performed classical dance and poetry recitation.
    • Appreciation certificate received for excellent coordination.
  • Teacher Involvement
    • Faculty members served as judges, event coordinators, and rehearsal mentors.
    • Workshops were conducted by teachers on:
      • Public Speaking
      • Folk Art and Theatre
    • Staff Cultural Day was celebrated, including singing and drama performances by teachers.
  • Cultural Club Formation: A dedicated student-led committee with teacher guidance.

The Cultural Department successfully fostered a vibrant and inclusive environment, encouraging holistic development beyond academics. We look forward to scaling these efforts in the coming academic year with new initiatives and collaborations.
